Community Block Grant Program 2018-2019 Request for Proposals Now Open!

 The City of Redmond is now accepting proposals for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.  The funds are intended to create viable communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanded economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income residents. 

Proposals are due by 4:00pm on Thursday, October 4, 2018.

Eligible Applicants: All 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations providing services in Redmond.

Funding Amount Available: Approximately $450,000 in funding is available for eligible housing projects such as additional units of affordable housing, down payment assistance or public facility (homeless shelter) project.  Economic development projects may also be considered; however, housing projects will be given a priority for funding.

Terms: Projects must meet eligibility requirements set by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and found in the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations at 24 CFR 570.  At least 75% of funds must be spent by March 31, 2019.
