The Mayor and City Council members appoint citizens to committees and commissions that carry out designated functions and advise the Council on decisions and policy matters. From time to time, ad hoc committees or task forces are established to tackle a specific project or explore a particular issue or concern. Committee vacancies are publicized through local media sources and here on our website.
