Volunteers play a critical role in helping to keep our community livable. By participating in a volunteer project with the City of Redmond, you not only help to keep our city clean and beautiful, you also help to create a sense of community pride and an improved quality of life.
The City’s volunteer program consists of long-term projects such as adopting a street, park or trail, to one-time events like Earth Day and Arbor Day. We also work with community groups to organize specific clean-up, maintenance and planting projects throughout the City.
Current Volunteer Projects
- Earth Day (Event date: Saturday, April 23, 2016)
- Arbor Week
- Let’s Pull Together
- Litter Control
- Adopt-a-Street, Park or Trail (1 year minimum commitment)
A City of Redmond volunteer coordinator will attend all projects and provide instruction and assistance. The necessary tools and supplies will be provided at the site, a brief overview of the project will be conducted, instructions given on the work to be performed, and the necessary safety precautions. Safety is an important part of our volunteer program and we ask that all volunteers review our Safety Guidelines prior to participating in a project.
For more information, please contact Curt Petersen, Facilities Operations Manager at (541) 504-2008.
Volunteers must also complete the required Agreement and Release forms prior to participating in a project. Please contact the City of Redmond Public Works Department to coordinate project dates and times prior to commencing work.
