After being born in Cleveland, Ohio, my family soon moved west to Montana, then to Texas, and finally to Boise, Idaho, where my parents both worked as instructors and administrators for Boise State University for over 30 years. After completing high school in Boise, I attended Willamette University in Salem and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with minors in Math and Computer Science.  I then followed my love of birds of prey, specifically osprey, to Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and continued my education through a research center there.

Eventually I ended up back in the Boise area and worked for almost 10 years as a Technical Writer and Web Developer for Micron Technology.  During this time I met and married my beautiful wife Robyn, and together we began raising our wonderful children, T.J. (age 11) and Sierra (age 9) in the city of Meridian, which saw its population triple between 1990 and 2000 and continues to be the fastest growing city in Idaho.

In 1995, I began attending night school as Boise State University State University for several years, completing all the necessary course work to become a Certified Public Accountant and began a career as a tax preparer/accountant.  In 2001 we moved here to Redmond, where I have become a Certified Public Accountant and the managing partner for the Redmond CPA office of Integrity First Financial Services, PC.

My other interests outside of family and work include being very involved with my church, including being a teacher in the Sunday school program, doing my part to promote a solid base for the next generation of Central Oregonians. I also love playing tennis, riding my mountain bike, getting my car muddy and I am succumbing to the Central Oregon pressure to become a golfer.

My strong desire to get "plugged in" to Redmond led me to involvement in the Chamber of Commerce and ultimately to running for City Council where I am interested in assisting however possible with establishing policies that will enable Redmond to handle this growth in the best way possible.  I plan on doing this by educating myself on each of the specific situations and issues, then basing my decisions on the knowledge I gain. I believe my attention to detail and my ability to thoroughly consider each situation, looking at it from many different perspectives, along with my ability to listen to and understand others’ perspectives enable me to be a valuable addition to the City of Redmond.
