Purpose Statement

Current Planning is responsible for processing all development related land use applications within the City such as partitions, subdivisions, and site/design review. This also includes individual land use applications, zoning reviews, and signing off on building permits as well as providing information to the public on all land related issues.

Long Range Planning coordinates and provides services to reflect the community vision for the future which include the Comprehensive Plan, Transportation System Plan, Urban Reserve study, Development Code updates, annexation analysis, zoning, and urban growth boundary expansion. Long Range Planning also includes preparing population forecasts, amending city regulations, mapping and reviewing & participatingOAPA Planning Award in actions proposed by other public agencies.

Planning Division Receives Award
Redmond's Community Development Department receives the Oregon Chapter of American Planning Association's (OAPA) Professional Achievement in Planning Award for the "Redmond Urban Reserve Area / Urban Growth Boundary Expansion Project".
