City Seeks Planning Consultant Team to Lead Redmond's Comprehensive Plan Update
REDMOND, OR – The City of Redmond is soliciting Request for Proposals (RFPs) from a professional land use planning consultant team to lead a major update of its current Comprehensive Plan (Plan). The update, with robust public involvement and participation, will shape Redmond’s long-range planning horizon and serve as a framework for future land use policy.
“Redmond’s planning challenge is to reinforce and strengthen the livability of our community in the face of rapid regional growth,” states Deputy City Manager John Roberts. “It is important to update our Plan and land use policy with detailed planning objectives necessary to guide development for the next twenty-plus years by a process that creatively seeks input and involves all possible community stakeholders every step of the way.”
The purpose of this RFP is to provide guidelines for the submission of proposals. The process to update the comprehensive plan will be critical to its success and must ensure that the final document reflects the desired vision for the community as determined by citizens, elected/appointed officials and other key stakeholders. Proposals must reflect the team’s ability to provide a full range of expertise in all areas needed to develop a complete comprehensive plan and demonstrate substantial experience with public outreach, facilitation of public meetings and public relation campaigns.
The Request for Proposal document is available online at https://www.ci.redmond.or.us/business/rfps-rfqs. Complete proposals are due by 5:00 p.m., March 1, 2019. For more information contact John Roberts, Deputy City Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org or 541-923-7750.
