REDMOND, OREGON – On Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. the City of Redmond Police Department (RPD) will host a National Night Out community event at the newly expanded Centennial Park. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. The August 6th event is free to attend, including live music, family friendly activities, drinks, and a barbecue.
Come and enjoy live music from the Parnells, a local Americana/Country band; K-9 demos, Dunk-a-Cop tank, face painting, a farmer’s market, bouncy houses, emergency service vehicles on display, and much more. RPD community partners will host information and activity booths and there will even be a doughnut eating contest, so come prepared to take on the department’s finest.
“National Night Out is a fun-filled community event which enhances the Redmond Police Department’s relationship with the community, while also increasing crime awareness and prevention to Redmond and the surrounding areas.” said Lieutenant Jesse Petersen.
