City of Redmond Assumes Responsibility for Overseeing Reservations for City-Owned Park Amenities and Ball Fields
REDMOND, OREGON – On December 3, 2019, Redmond City Council approved a staff recommendation which authorized the City to begin overseeing the process to reserve City owned park amenities and ballfields. This function was previously administered through a partnership with the Redmond Area Parks and Recreation District.
Through this action, users will experience benefits such as streamlined logistics and an improved software reservation system.
The City of Redmond owns baseball/softball fields at American Legion Park, Bowlby Park, Kalama Park and Umatilla Park. There are also multi-use and soccer fields at American Legion Park, Spudbowl Park and Umatilla Park. Reservable pavilions exist at Baker, Quince and Sam Johnson Park. Stack Park is also reservable and has become a popular wedding location.
The City has implemented new software that provides users an online calendar to display park availability, submit a reservation request, and complete the process and payment securely online. To learn more about reservable park sites, amenities, fees or create an account, residents are encouraged to visit www.redmondparkreservations.com.
Reservations are allowed six months in advance so people can begin making summer plans.
