In keeping with the City’s goal of continued enhancement of customer service, the Building Division is transitioning to a new permit tracking and inspection request software. The Building Division will be going live with the Accela system on February 3, 2014. Inspections can be scheduled by going to the E-Permitting website. Inspections can be also be scheduled using the IVR phone system by dialing (541) 923-7715. Please note that new inspection codes are used by the Accela system and an updated codes list can be downloaded here (pdf).

Sidewalk & Driveway Inspections

To request an inspection, please call (541) 923-7715 or visit the E-Permitting website.  You will need your 12 digit IVR number located on your permit.  Be sure to look up the appropriate inspection code to request before calling.  The updated code list can be downloaded here.

Note: If you have received a building permit for a dwelling site, you will want to use the codes found under BUILDING on the code sheet.  If you received a permit only for the sidewalk or driveway, you will want to use the codes found under PUBLIC WORKS. 

All inspections called in after 7:00 am will be schedule for the following work day. 

Please be aware of the following:

  1. All forms shall be inspected prior to pour, please plan ahead and schedule an inspection.
  2. All materials and construction shall conform to current City of Redmond Standards and Specifications.
  3. A sketch of site plan to scale will be required from the owner or contractor, showing locations of work, prior to start of construction.
  4. The curb shall be poured separate from the sidewalk and/or driveway approach. NO MONOLITHIC POURS ALLOWED.
