Current Planning is responsible for processing all development related land use applications within the City such as partitions, subdivisions, and site/design review. This also includes individual land use applications, zoning reviews, and signing off on building permits as well as providing information to the public on all land related issues.
Long Range Planning coordinates and provides services to reflect the community vision for the future which include the Comprehensive Plan, Transportation System Plan, Urban Reserve study, Development Code updates, annexation analysis, zoning, and urban growth boundary expansion. Long Range Planning also includes preparing population forecasts, amending city regulations, mapping and reviewing & participating in actions proposed by other public agencies.
Land Use Applications Map allows you to click on a property icon and see what new development is proposed on that site by name of project and process. After that, the more you click the more detailed data is available on the Deschutes County DIAL website under “Development”. We hope you enjoy this program which gives you access to land use development information at your fingertips.
We are growing, and it is vital that citizens know what is happening in our community. For more information contact Deborah McMahon, Planning Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org
