About the Artist:
http://brucetaylorsculpture.blogspot.com/ Bruce grew up in Colorado. He loves the outdoor environment and his life here in Central Oregon.
About the Art:
"The Eye" was constructed using primarily aluminum and low voltage led lights. Bruce came up with his concept loosely based on motion. The piece is mildly kinetic because the lights change. It's also topographical, like a map, so it has levels of elevation like mountains and valleys. The piece conveys motions and it can represent water, clouds and wind. The piece wouldn't have lighting if not for Branagan Dixon, owner of The Rac. There is no power at the site, Branagan stepped in and allowed the City to connect to his power and he pays the monthly bill as an annual donation to the Redmond Committee for Art in Public Places.
