South US 97 Urban Renewal District Feasibility Study
November 12, 2019
Questions and Answers
Will the city attorney be providing legal counsel, or should we include legal counsel on our team?
The City will be providing legal counsel for the purposes of preparing and reviewing all legal documents and materials necessary for the establishment of the urban renewal district. However, it is the expectation of the City that the consultant team will assist City staff and legal counsel as needed in the preparation and review of the documents during this process.
Aside from the targeted meetings to property owners, elected officials, taxing districts, etc., will the consultant be responsible for facilitating any broader community-wide meetings or outreach efforts?
The city’s expectation is that the consulting team will be available to assist staff with all aspects of outreach as needed, including potentially participating in community-wide meetings or outreach efforts. However, it is not expected that the consultant will be responsible for the facilitation of those meetings.
Are the project needs for the potential areas east of the railroad known? Should the project team include urban designers and/or engineers to develop concept plans for the DSL property and vicinity to help define urban renewal projects?
The project needs for the potential urban renewal areas east of the railroad are currently not know. The consultant should plan to include urban designers and/or engineers on their project team to develop concept plans for this area.
