Since the creation of the Downtown District in 1995 through City Ordinance No. 95-32, the City of Redmond has engaged in various projects within the District in order to make Redmond’s core more functional and appealing.
In May 2011, after a yearlong public outreach process and with broad support from overlapping taxing districts, the Urban Renewal Agency passed a substantial Amendment to the Downtown Urban Renewal Plan. Copies of the Plan Amendment, the Report on the Amendment, and the Strategy for implementing the Plan can be downloaded here: Downtown Urban Renewal Area Plan Review.
The Urban Renewal Agency publishes an Annual Financial Report detailing expenditures and highlighting projects. The current report is here: Redmond URA Annual Report FYE2019.
