Application Screening Process:
All received application packets are screened by the Human Resources Department for timely submittal and completion. Complete application packets that pass the first screening are then screened according to the qualifications to perform the duties of the job.
The City of Redmond normally receives an extremely large number of applications for each open position; therefore, notifications are not sent to those applicants not selected for an interview. If you do not receive an email within 15 business days from the position closing date, it is likely you have not been selected for an interview.
Applicants who are selected for an interview will be notified by email. If the interview process includes a skills test, and/or physical fitness test (police/fire), the applicant will be notified when invited for the interview. The candidate selected for the position will be notified by phone; other candidates interviewed will receive a notification email.
